If you are around #Daylesford for Easter, I'm in a group show with #Daylesfordarts at the town hall. Opening night is catered for so best pre booked with Eventbrite but you can also get tix at the door. Free entry apart from opening night. Come! I will show some gloomy fruits and other things. Thank you Lucas, they are fabulous. Needed a bunch of cherubs for a project, impossible to buy, had to make my own. Daylesford in middle of summer! Craziest hailstorm. UPDATE I'm now booked for sat sun of labour day weekend, but still free thu fri. I needed to do something to make this door disappear. What better than an opportunity to create a classic kakelugnsdörr, swedish tile oven. Even in the 1700s they were made from wood, to replicate a working one already in the room because of their love for symmetry. I've always loved them, but they don't exist in Australia. Found a photo taken by my son of the inspection before I bought the house. I remember walking around the 1910 cottage in some need of work and bought it there and then. Location perfect. Ran it as a studio gallery for 10 years until 2020, and for the last few years have been working on it a great deal more, changing it yet again. Before my time it was financial planners, family services, a sleep clinic, many things. A string of owners and tenants, all the way back to the old victualler who built it with a great deal of care and expense for his daughter. Did she love it? I cannot see how she wouldn't. I know I do.
